Practice Dance

So I filmed McKayla Dancing so she could practice at home. Which was definitely needed. McKayla is the one 3rd from the right with long black sleeves. She actually did really good at the recital thanks to some at home practicing.

Dance Recital

McKayla was in a ballet and tap dance combo class from August until December. They did a tap dance for the recital to the song "Up on the Roof Top" It was really cute. It was too dark during her dance to get any good pictures. So here she is before and after the dance.

Funny things

Why is it that Family night always turns into let's climb on daddy night. I didn't realize how difficult it is to balance someone on your feet like this. So I tried it out and I couldn't keep my legs straight and from wobbling. I guess Devin's buff legs come in handy now and then.

I guess boys aren't so bad after all

Lincoln has been such a fun little boy to have around. I was soo nervous to have a boy. And I guess in some ways I still am nervous. But nothing could have prepared me for how he has turned out so far. He is such a good boy. And man, does he have the most beautiful eyes ever! Sorry buddy but they are. they just pop right out at you. He is such a giggle machine, it is fun to get him going. I love that no matter how rough a day is going he can always cheer me up just by looking at me. Bring on the boys, if they are all like Lincoln that is. I can't stand how fast he is growing up.

What a Boy!

I can't believe what a boy Lincoln is. No body teaches him these things. I mean, my goodness, he is at home with me all day the most girlie girl you can find. And I don't know the names of all the trucks out there. I once called a dump truck a dumpster, by mistake, of course. But really where does it come from. I came around the corner to see Devin working on a door project and Lincoln was sprawled out helping dad. He found himself a tool and then got down on his belly and stuck the tool right on a screw. It's just in them and it has been fun to see that side come out even though he watches me and McKayla paint our Finger nails and do our hair and make up all day.

Projects

So My Sister in Law Stacey has a Vinyl Lettering Business and I have ordered things from her over the years and basically collected them and held on to them until I could put them in a more permanent place. So here is what I have done.

This obviously is in Lincoln's room above his changing table. I'm thinking I might move it to go above his Crib instead.

This one is above our Fire place in our Family room

Saying (Life is not measured by the amount of breathes we take, but by the moments that take our breath away)

This one is in our dinning room.
Saying: (Bless this home with love and laughter, friends and family forever after)

This one is in our Master Bathroom

Saying: (dream as if you will live forever, live as if you only have today)

This was done is my laundry room if you hadn't put that together.
Sayings: Same day service, do it yourself

Sorting out life one load at a time

This one I planned on putting on a board painted Black so I am still figuring out what to do with it. But it is in the Kids Bathroom.

Saying: You don't have to brush ALL of your teeth, just the ones you want to keep!

I found this doll house book case at Roberts Crafts store in St. George for 75% off. So I purchased it and strapped it to the top of my passat and drove 12 hours in 2 days to bring it back to Idaho where I painted it White and Pink added some cute baskets that were half off at Micheal's Craft store and finally added all the other items into it.

And one day I was planning on putting up McKayla's name ABOVE the Doll house on the wall. I collected the letters and modge podge some scrap paper to it. Just as I had everything out to start nailing them to the wall my new relief society presidency showed up at my door. So as we were visiting McKayla was busy helping me out with my project.
I came walking into her room just as she was nailing up the last nail and then proceeded to hang up the last letter all of which had been done ON the roof of the doll house. I really under estimate her. She can do anything she puts her mind to. This was done sometime the first of December and is still like this today. I just don't want to deal with having to refinish all the work I did before. And not sure where to start.

Snow Day

Man, I had no idea about the weather in Boise. But apparently the snow doesn't stick around for very long here. It will snow one day and the next day it melts away. So playing in it is hard to do. We had to scrape up enough snow to make this tiny snow man. Nothing like the 7 foot one Devin made in Wisconsin. The kids didn't care they were busy eating what snow there was left.

We even made the snow man a snow fort.

New addition to the Family

So McKayla begs us to get her a pet all the time. So instead we go to the pet store as much as we can. Well we were out for my Birthday one day and as usual went to the pet store. But we totally got sucked right in when we saw this little bunny. It was by far the calmest rabbit we have ever seen. And the smallest, softest, cutest thing ever.

Introducing Halle the Cutest little Bunny. Ever Since Hannah named Halle, McKayla has been begging for us to have a baby Halle. So naturally when she got this bunny that was the first name that popped into her head.

It just looks like a ball of fluff. And then when you pick it up, it shocks you how tiny she is. All that fur really deceives you.

One night McKayla really wanted to watch a movie WITH her bunny so we finally gave in only because this bunny is so well behaved but we still are so amazed by how well behaved she is. During her movie little Halle sat on McKayla's stomach most of the movie, never moved! It was really cute to see it sprawled out on her with one leg dangling over the side. We finally had to take her away from McKayla and she was all sweaty from McKayla's hands wrapped around her for so long.

Merry Christmas..A little late.

So early in the morning WE woke up the kids, I didn't want to chance them waking up before me and missing their reactions. So they were a little groggy.

Tooth paste Dad I mean Santa? Come on. All I can say is, get used to it Lincoln.

This is McKayla's reaction to getting a CD of her all time favorite singer Taylor Swift.

My Brother Mike and his Family are really into Land cruisers and apparently Peg Perego Makes a toy one. They got their daughter Thalia one for Christmas. The kids had a ton of fun riding it around. We put it in our unfinished basement so it wasn't as cold as out side.

McKayla has wanted a PINK Guitar for a long time, so now she can be just like daddy strum'n away.

Our Family gift from Santa was these Skate Wiggle Cars. It became a regular routine for McKayla every time I went to Target she would find one of these and then follow me around the whole store. I found these on ebay and got all 4 for the price that one would cost at Target.

It made it a lot of fun for every one to ride on them together. Playing things like tag and bumper cars.

Here we are for Christmas Dinner enjoying our first course, our favorite salad and dressing Thanks to Chad and Emily Burnham.

T'was the night before Christmas...

So this year we were fortunate to get to stay home and have My Parents with my youngest brother Brandon and my oldest Brother Mike with his Family at our home. It was so much fun.

This is Mckayla and her cousin Thalia showing off their Christmas Jammies on Christmas Eve.
